The world’s largest solar farm has just come up in China – with 166,000 panels which will power about 15,000 homes. This solar farm is far from conventional, and is built over a lake that was once a coal mine. This idea of placing solar panels over water allow the solar panels to stay cool. They also do not disturb ecosystems on land and protect wildlife and vegetation. This solar farm has a capacity of 40 megawatts.
