Space exploration has taken to new bounds as the Falcon Heavy, dubbed the world’s largest rocket, took off from Kennedy Space Centre holding the entire world witness. The rocket built by SpaceX, an organisation founded by Elon Musk, is a much powerful version of the successful Falcon 9. The rocket carried a Tesla Roadster, inside which is a mannequin wearing a SpaceX spacesuit. The rocket used reusable boosters and was built on a low cost platform. This is the first time a private company has launched a rocket this powerful. The success of the Falcon Heavy will prove an important step in achieving Musk’s dream of putting people on Mars.
